It was 5 in the evening when I had to go somewhere. The roads were quiet and the traffic was almost non-existent.  In a city where the average traveling time is half an hour at least due to traffic, this sight was pretty unusual. Idea was to come back home before Mughrib to break the fast during this holy month of Ramazan but it took more time than expected.

We saw the sunset while being on the road but what we experienced otherwise was totally heart-warming. Almost every nook and corner of the city, every other green belt was crowded with people sitting in an organized fashion and there were tens of other people feeding them. Not only the public places, every mosque that came our way had tents pegged in and people were breaking their fasts in the mosques. Almost everyone was having food. There were cars and trucks parked with food boxes getting distributed – the sight was unbelievably mesmerizing.

Thanks to all the philanthropists and people with a big heart, I guess no one slept hungry in the city on that day. We came home right after the mughrib prayer but the thought lingered on for some time. Ramazan vibes are totally divine.
