Disclaimer: This post is a mix of desi beliefs, scientific researches and my own thoughts about life. Feel free to submit my name for the 2019 Nobel Prize on having great imaginations and understanding this thing, called life!

Per our traditional old school, it takes 40 days for a child to get used to this world and develop the final round of senses. For the first 40 days a child is put under super care and then, it is said that the growth multifolds. Some people even mention about the sight and how it is firmly developed during this time frame – now hold on to the ‘sight’ part for a bit.

When a person dies, it is said that the spirit keeps coming back to its house for the first 40 days. Hence, the oldies specifically ask to turn on the lights after sunset. The concept of “Chaalis-waan” (the 40th) is about holding the one last prayer for the deceased around the similar time. Although, many sects within Islam, my religion, doesn’t even believe in praying for the deceased beyond the day of funeral so I won’t really argue whose sect is right. But since, there is always an explanation behind every ritual – I would still request you to hold on to this concept of ‘Chaalis-waan’ for a while as well.

Anyway, you have any idea why the spirit keeps coming back for the first 40 days? It is the sight, of the human being, that eventually goes away and takes on a different set of visuals programmed for a spirit. The house, the road that leads to that house, the sky, the ground – everything remain where they are – it’s altogether a different set of frequencies of each sense which transform and makes a spirit incapable of tracing back its path to its house and hence, the “Chaalis-waan”!

We all belong to the human specie. We come from a womb. It is dark, closed and noisy. We stay there for almost 9 months. Human beings cannot live in a liquid – yet we stay in some liquid and don’t get rotten. We develop senses back there – but those senses are not programmed to see, feel, touch, taste, hear and think the way a human does. They are engineered on a different set of numbers. Hence, a human embryo, if ever asked to document his feelings, will never explain his experience which is comprehensible by us – the human. Those senses and their associated experiences are totally different.

I have mentioned this earlier many times, and I will repeat what I believe in. God doesn’t believe in chaos. He works on a system and then He lets it roll on its own. In my humble opinion and limited knowledge, He has developed a full spectrum of all known/unknown senses and given only a specific part of that spectrum to each specie that He has created. Human beings, can only make sense using a specific part of that spectrum. Rest exist but is unknown to us because we cannot catch it at first place.

However, the story doesn’t end here. Neither for me and nor for the human beings. Because now I have established a firm belief that the journey of our spirit is never-ending. We get to roll over the entire spectrum of life senses (with different frequencies and set numbers) and with this, we keep on changing from one body/shape to another. I only know two more forms of our transformation – one is the embryo and the other one is the spirit but I’m sure that there are many many other forms of us. We are not meant to die – we are meant to move on – we are in a constant state of striving – just like this universe. We are all in a system – balancing one another.

As a human being, perhaps, we enjoy the maximum of our thinking capabilities but each form of us has some senses better than the others.

Now, my second leg of discussion is around the things that exist. I gave a lot of thought to this and I have finally concluded that nothing exists. No sky is real, no earth is real. There is a reason everything consists of 70% of water. May it be the human body or the surface of Earth. It is the limitation of our six senses that picture this environment around us in a specific way. The spirits and the embryo never look at the mountains or the sea. They see something different. Mountains look utterly different to them. So it means, that what is surrounded by us – is just a piece of art by our own imagination and our senses.

Some of you might already know that the human ear is capable of hearing specific sounds from a full range of sounds of differing frequencies. Other sound may exist and keep on echoing our planet but since our hearing is not programmed to listen to them – we get no idea what is happening around us :/

Sometimes people are not deaf, they just happen to catch a shifted band of frequencies not normally understandable by the regular human beings. They are not deaf – they are special and unique but who knows ?!

Lastly, I really want to say that with this never ending journey of varying senses and body transformations, I feel that somehow we are stuck on planet Earth. a) the journey is too long and b) it might be a loop (lain jee ek aur twist). We are the Jinns and the spirits and the demons – we are the “others” (if you have seen the movie and know what I mean). There are no outsiders around us – it is us and only us – at different points/levels of our journey.

We are stuck my friends – we are stuck. Our senses will make this Earth look like a heaven or hell some day. I do believe in my religion and its sayings. I’m just trying to explain how this will happen – right here 😐

Thank You!
