Moving on is never easy. It entails excitement, thrill, anxiety, pain and a hope – hope for a better future. It could be from a person, place or work. When we move on from a person, it either happens by force or by choice. Of course when it is forced upon us, we feel sad and broken for the longest period of time. After all, nobody wants to be rejected at any capacity. Especially when one is emotionally involved in a relationship, the desire to stay perpetually associated with that person totally kill us. However, if it is our choice to let go of somebody for a better tomorrow, such bad feelings never occur. That person takes a permanent position in your memory card but then that’s it. We move on!

People generally don’t leave their workplaces. They leave their bosses. Most of the bosses, after a certain period of time, become such a pain that the only way out to let go of them is to leave the company. In fact, the company eventually loses its charm and people tend to ignore all its benefits just because of that one person.

Such a blind date these interviews are btw!! People look for people from either side of the table. And as soon as they find a better place and person to work for – they simply move on.

Likewise when people decide to leave their country or city for a better opportunity – they have dreams in their eyes. Dream of a better life for their families and themselves. Moving on from your place asks for a sacrifice. Sacrifice to leave behind your loved ones. There are many people who wouldn’t leave the world for their relations. Yet, there are millions of people who will take that leap of faith. After all, we have a huge population in each continent from the last thousands of years just to prove this point.

With moving on comes the sweet good byes. Good byes are generally primitive in nature. They do mean that some other door has happened for the person. This is a pretty natural phenomena and the ultimate essence of our life.

The concept of Sand Mandela in Buddhism is based on the same principle. Many monks first draw the pattern of life and then invest an enormous amount of time to fill those will colored sand. Finally once it is made, they just destroy it. This act may seem unfathomable to manh but it is also based on the theory that everything is moving in its own capacity and that nothing lasts forever in this world. All the sand particles may seem stationary on their point but in actuality they all might be moving and performing their desired functions, which are not visible to the naked eye, and then suddenly they get destroyed.

We, the human being, have the similar life story. On the surface of earth, we all are expanding but if you just zoom us out a million time, we all may look stationary. In this time-space grid we are all stuck in, trust me what may look moving at one instance is actually stationary at another. Khair, this is another debate.

So guys, moving on from a person, workplace or just a place is actually healthy. This is in fact God’s way of  balancing His system of nature/universe – by allowing things to expand, forgo and move on.

Anyway, next time if you find yourself on the crossroad of decisions where you might have to pick between moving on or staying back especially from your work or place – then do consider the former option – as this might mean that God has finally decided to shuffle up few things to give you a new perspective.
